Phil Jackson, Michael JOrdan and winning with a we first culture

If you haven’t found yourself glued to your television to catch MJ’s “The Last Dance” you have to carve out a couple hours and get on the train!  This docuseries highlights the last season of one of the greatest athletes of all-time, Michael Jordan.   What becomes clear very quickly is MJs love for his teammates and his special appreciation for his coach, Phil Jackson. 
 
Phil Jackson won 11 championships with the Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.  He is considered by most the best coach in NBA history.  His coaching style was unconventional.  He tried things like Thai chi, yoga, and meditation.  But what Phil preached the most was leading from within and that team ball was the only ball.  It’s the heart of the triangle offense.  Everyone plays a role.
 
He has a famous quote that he preached to all of his teams:
No man is an island.
No man goes his way alone.
What I put into the lives of others will come back unto its own.
